If you have sung with us in a Main Stage production, Dinner and a Diva, or other opportunity within the last year, you do not need to audition again.
What to Expect for your Audition
What you need for your audition:
1) Register online for a time
2) Bring copies of your music, headshot, bio, and rep list
3) Bring $10 for the accompanist fee (unless you will provide your own accompanist)
The auditions will be held at the Church of the Atonement, 4945 High Point Rd. NE, Atlanta GA 30342. These auditions are to cast for CCOC's upcoming events including mainstage productions, touring education shows, monthly Dinner and a Diva performances, and our July On The Light Side annual fundraiser. If you are a singer who auditioned within the last year, you do not need to audition again.
For this audition, singers should prepare two pieces, one in English and one in a foreign language. Each audition will last 10 minutes. An accompanist will be provided or singers may bring their own accompanist if preferred. Please bring a headshot and resume/rep list to the audition. There is a $10 fee to cover CCOC's costs. The fee may be paid in cash, by credit card, or with a check made payable to Capitol City Opera Company at the time of the audition.
Singers should also note that casting for Capitol City Opera productions will require that they be available for workshops and for extensive rehearsals. Singers with other obligations during the same time period should note them on the registration form. Participation in other organizations does not preclude you from participating in CCOC productions, but availability for rehearsals will be a consideration when casting.
