Capitol City Opera Company Adds Tuesday, April 30 to Audition Calendar UPDATE April 27, 2013 - - Audition Registration Is Closed. Registrations received effective today will be retained for future reference. UPDATE April 23, 2013 - - Capitol City Opera Company has added a third date to its Spring 2013 audition calendar because all available audition slots for Tuesday evening, April 23, and Thursday evening, April 25 are filled. The added date is Tuesday evening, April 30. Auditions will be held at The Church of Atonement, 4945 High Point Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, Ga.,30342., starting at 6:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only. Each audition will last 10 minutes. Individuals who have already registered but were wait-listed, or those who registered but could not audition on either the 23rd or 25th because of previous commitments will receive first priority for an audition time on the 30th. The registration form (see below) will remain open for those who have not registered but who may still be interested in auditioning on the 30th.. These auditions are primarily to cast for our upcoming July 27 On the Lightside fundraiser at the Church of the Atonement and our fall production of La bohème on Sept. 6-8 at the Conant Performing Arts Center. However they also may be used to identify singers for our monthly dinner programs and other singing opportunities. For this audition please prepare two pieces, one in English and the second in another language. An accompanist will be provided or you may bring your own accompanist if preferred. There is a $10 audition fee to cover CCOC's costs.
Please note that casting for Capitol City Opera shows, and in particular La bohème, will require you to be available for workshops and for extensive rehearsals. If you have other obligations during the same time period, please note them on the registration forms. Participating in other organizations does not preclude you from participating in CCOC productions, but availability for rehearsals be a consideration when selecting the final cast.
